PET Recommendation Reports

The Program in Evidence-Based Care (PEBC) works with the Ontario PET Steering Committee to gather and examine evidence on specific topics relevant to providing quality cancer care in Ontario.

The regular review of literature pertaining to the use of PET in cancer and selected non cancer diseases is achieved through the PET monitoring reports. This process is conducted semi-annually in order to maintain the currency of all other documents produced by the PET steering committee group. The literature uncovered in the PET monitoring reports is assessed by clinical experts to determine whether the current recommendations are supported in light of the new evidence. The decision to update a document is at the discretion of the committee on a priority basis.

If you have any questions about any of these reports, please contact the PEBC (ccopgi@mcmaster.ca).
