Themes : Council size and make-up, recruitment process – soliciting and collecting nominations.

Overview: Once the organization’s stakeholders have agreed on the vision and goals for the PFAC and internal planning has begun, the process for recruiting patients and families to serve on the council can start. Depending on the desired size and make-up of the council, an appropriate amount of time needs to be allocated to this process to ensure a sufficient number of suitable candidates can be interviewed and selected.
