Open Data Directive

Ontario’s Open Data Directive maximizes access to government data by requiring data held by ministries and government agencies to be made public unless it is exempt for legal, privacy, security, confidentiality or commercially-sensitive reasons.

The Data Inventory table lists all data sets we currently hold and identifies those data sets that are exempt from being released as open data. We have published the Data Inventory to support Ontario’s commitment to openness, accountability and transparency through the Open Data Directive. Learn more about Ontario's Open Data Directive.
